Apiary Services

An extra pair of experienced hands for your apiary

Beekeeping is one of the most rewarding hobbies you can take up — but it can also be physically demanding, time-consuming, and occasionally overwhelming, especially when you're managing it alone. I offer practical, hands-on apiary support across Kent and the surrounding area, working alongside you so you can enjoy your bees without the stress of tackling the bigger jobs by yourself.

I'm currently studying for my BBKA Basic Certificate as part of a longer journey towards Master Beekeeper qualification, and I bring genuine passion and care to every apiary I work in.

What I can help with

  • Hive inspections — Regular or one-off inspections to assess colony health, spot early signs of disease, and keep your records up to date.

  • Varroa treatment — Timely, correctly applied treatment to keep mite levels under control and your colonies healthy through the season.

  • Swarm collection — If your bees have swarmed, get in touch and I'll do my best to collect and rehome them safely.

  • Feeding colonies — Autumn and spring feeding carried out properly, so your bees go into winter strong and come out ready to build.

  • Moving hives — Whether you're relocating your apiary or moving hives within it, I can help with the heavy lifting and logistics.

  • Setting up new apiaries — Just starting out? I can help you site, set up, and get your apiary ready for your first colonies.

  • Hive repairs & maintenance — Keeping your equipment in good order so it works when you need it to.

Pricing

All apiary services are charged at £30 per hour, with no call-out fee. One-off visits and regular seasonal arrangements are both welcome — just get in touch to discuss what you need.
